Sommer & Staff has converted a number of buildings from one use to another. However two projects stand out.
The Construction Training Centre, Salisbury, was created by converting a dilapidated, disused heavy engineering plant into the nation's finest facility for training apprentices – the future of the building industry. This design and construct project has won accolades from industry representatives, and from state and national education and training authorities.
The conversion of disused squash courts into the Uniting Church, Holland Park, has been a remarkable transformation – one that has provided a sanctuary from the bustle and stress of the competitive world which was typified by the previous use of the structure. |
