The El Dorado cinema complex replaced a dilapidated old timber structure, the haunt of many soldiers from the nearby camp during World War II. The multi-cinema complex required special underground access provision. The heavy traffic flow past the site prompted demands from authorities that all unloading and storage be on site, even though it was impossibly congested. The award winning Logan Entertainment Centre has proved to be a welcome addition to the region. This project won the Queensland Master Builders' Association Regional and State Awards in its category.
Sommer & Staff's established remote project construction management skills were the reason they were selected for, and successfully completed, the Entertainment Centre in Wuhan, PRC. |

The company has developed state of the art knowledge and experience for design and construction of Olympic swimming pools and associated facilities with projects in Ipswich, Eidsvold, and the Sunshine Coast. Kawana Aquatic Centre's Olympic Pool has single pour, joint free, post tensioned, reinforced concrete walls and similar floor. International swimming squads including the Australian Women's Water Polo Team used the pool for pre-Olympic training.
The Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre at Morayfield has a majestic curved clear span steel framed roof.
The company overcame Hamilton Island's isolation and supply problems utilising new technology to build the new pool complex at the resort. |
